Visitors, new members and junior members are always welcome at Jesmond Dene Badminton Club. If you are in Newcastle and want to play badminton, why not come along and give us a try? You can either turn up to any club session or, if you prefer, contact the Club Secretary (see Contacts) for more details.
We meet twice per week, on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 10pm. From September 2008 we will be playing in the Sports Hall at Central Newcastle High School in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne (map). The fee for visitors is only £4 per session.
The main badminton club season runs from September until Easter. If there is sufficient demand after the main season ends at Easter, we may run a summer club on one evening per week (see Contacts).
The club is affiliated to Badminton England through the Northumberland County Badminton Association. We use feather shuttles and have mixed, ladies' and men's teams playing in the Northumberland Badminton League. There is a wide range of ages and abilities within the existing membership of the club, which has been established for over 20 years.
